The type HTC, DFC & WDFC are delay fill fluid couplings where portion of the oil filling is withdrawn from the main chamber during startup, which causes a very light load startup. Once the motor reaches full speed , this oil is reintroduced to the main chamber, allowing the coupling to take up the full load.

The type PSS Coupling is a delay fill fluid coupling where 30% to 40% of the oil filling is withdrawn from the main chamber during startup, which causes a very light load startup. Once the motor reaches full speed, this oil is then reintroduced to the main chamber, allowing the coupling to take up the full load. Manufactured from High tensile Aluminium Alloy, for lighter weight.
